We track over 300 million Twitter accounts and provide a very cost-effective and even free service. As you can imagine this requires a lot of resources.
To keep required resources within reason, we only track non-users occasionally and free accounts are also sampled every now and then. If we miss a couple of days of data we display it using a straight-line approximation. Premium accounts are tracked every hour, so they are much more accurate.
Besides that, we're using caching to help you see popular pages faster. This means that you may see data that is up to 24 hours old.
If you want to keep your profile up-to-date, you can start by pressing "Update stats now" at the top of your profile page every once in a while. Or subscribe to a weekly Twitter Stats update. This way we update the stats daily and keep you updated weekly about your progress.
Ultimately
when you want accurate and detailed stats, we will start getting the data
hourly as soon as you upgrade to one of our Premium plans.
